How it works
This public holidays tool uses caldays, a free holiday data service, to list a country's public holidays for the current year. Pick a country from the list, and you get each holiday's name and date. Switch to long weekends only, and it shows only the holidays that join up with a weekend to make a longer break, which is handy for planning trips and time off. Holiday dates can change by government announcement, especially for festivals based on the lunar calendar, so check official announcements before you book travel. Holiday data on this page is credited to caldays.com under a CC BY 4.0 licence.
