How it works

This colour palette maker uses TheColorAPI, a free colour service, to build palettes from colour theory. Pick a base colour, then pick a mode: analogic gives colours next to your colour on the colour wheel, which look calm together; complement gives the opposite colour, which stands out; triad gives three colours spaced evenly around the wheel, which look lively; monochrome gives shades of one colour; quad gives four. Each colour comes with its name, hex code, and RGB values. Tap any colour to copy its hex code, ready to paste into a design tool, a website, or a document.

FAQ

Which mode should I use?

Analogic for calm designs, complement for contrast, triad for colourful designs, monochrome for a clean single-colour look.

How do I copy a colour?

Tap the colour card, and its hex code is copied to your clipboard.

Are the colour names official?

They are names from TheColorAPI, which are descriptive, not official paint names. The hex code is what matters for exact colour matching.
