How it works

This currency converter uses daily reference rates from Frankfurter, a free exchange rate service. When you pick two currencies, it asks for that day's rate and multiplies your amount by it. For example, if 1 US dollar equals 152.16 Nepalese rupees on the day you check, then 100 dollars becomes 15,216 rupees at that rate. These are reference rates, not live trading rates, and they change once a day, so the number you see is a guide for everyday conversion, not a price you can trade at. Your bank or exchange shop may use a different rate and add fees, so check with them before you send money.

FAQ

Is the rate live?

No. It is a daily reference rate, updated once a day. For trading or large transfers, check a live rate source and your bank.

Does it include fees?

No. Banks and exchange shops add their own fees and margins, so the amount you actually receive can be lower.

Which currencies are included?

The main world currencies, including USD, EUR, GBP, NPR, INR, AED, CAD, AUD, JPY, and CNY. Pick any two from the lists.
